I guess if you are thinking of letting me share one of the most important days of your life or allowing me to photograph you, your family or event, it’s only fair I tell you a bit about me!

I graduated with a 2:1 honours degree from the University of Sussex and I began my career in journalism where my work was published in a variety of music magazines.  I then went on to spend six years in newspaper advertising.  Being surrounded by great adverts certainly got me thinking consciously and subconsciously about how light, colour and composition contribute to a powerful image!

Photography has always been my passion.  It was whilst travelling throughout South East Asia, Australasia and North and South America with just my backpack and my reliable Canon camera and 2 lenses, that the foundations of my photography were laid.  I realised how much I love the beauty of this earth and how obsessive over light and candid shots I am!

This was before photography went digital. I think I am a better photographer because of the photography disciplines instilled from learning my craft with film photography. It meant I really had to know how to nail a shot technically and not rely on Photoshop or similar post-processing software (which was not widely used then) to disguise sloppy technique or create effects. It just got me into good practice.  That said, apart from occasional recreational photography when I have the time, I have pretty much gone fully digital and I absolutely love it!  I have continued to study photography and work as a wedding and portrait photographer.

I put my heart and soul into everything I do and always go the extra mile to deliver both professionalism and craftsmanship in my photography bookings.
